Wil Armstrong is a candidate for the 6th Congressional District in Colorado. The seat is currently being held by presidential candidate and Congressman Tom Tancredo. Armstrong plans to carry on the tradition of fighting for lower taxes, secure borders, energy independence and better opportunities in education.

Wil is a small businessman who has built companies, met payrolls, and achieved success along the way. He has a strong record of community service and entrepreneurial success in technology, mortgage banking and community banking. Wil has built businesses throughout Colorado's 6th Congressional District including Castle Rock, Highlands Ranch, Parker, Centennial and Greenwood Village. He is the CEO of Blueberry Systems, a software and technology firm, headquartered in Arapahoe County.

He was recognized by the Denver Business Journal as one of the "40 Under 40" outstanding local professionals for his business success and community contributions. Wil has earned his political spurs by working in the Republican trenches, serving as a precinct leader, a delegate to county, district, and state assemblies. Wil has also worked as a campaign manager and fundraiser for Republican candidates.

Wil has earned his political spurs by working in the Republican trenches. Wil has actively volunteered in Republican campaigns since 1992 and seconded the nomination of then Treasurer Bill Owens for Governor in 1998. He served as campaign Chairman for Nancy Doty for Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder in 2003 and 2006 and as campaign Manager for John Andrews for State Senate in 2000. Armstrong has been elected delegate to several county and district assemblies including as a State GOP delegate in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006. He has also served as his neighborhood precinct captain.

Armstrong is an entrepreneur and small businessman. He is the CEO of Blueberry Systems, a software development and consulting firm aimed at solving business problems related to data management and application integration.

In 2005, Wil was recognized by the Denver Business Journal as one of the 40 Under 40 outstanding local professionals for his business success and community contributions.

From 1992 until 2004, Wil helped build Cherry Creek Mortgage Company into one of the nation’s top residential mortgage companies. Inc. magazine ranked the company as one of the 500 Fastest Growing Private Companies in America in both 1993 and 1994.

Armstrong serves on the Board of Directors to Colorado Community Bank. He was previously a director of Heritage Bank.

Armstrong has served on the board of trustees of ACE Scholarships, Executive Board of the Denver Area Council of the Boy Scouts, Board of Advisors of Leaders Challenge, Chairman of the citizen advisory board of the Claremont Institute / Colorado, and Advisory Board of Alternatives Pregnancy Center. He served on the National Board of Directors of Enterprise Development International, a non-profit involved in caring for the poor through micro lending.

During 1991, he volunteered his time to The International Foundation traveling in Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union. He was part of a delegation focused on opening the oppressive prison systems of Eastern Bloc countries. While in college, Armstrong spent a summer working in India and for a short time at Mother Teresa’s Home for the Destitute Dying.

Wil and Kristy have three children and live in Greenwood Village, Colorado. The family attends Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church.
